Managing bladder problems

Not all bladder problems are easily managed and you may need extra help while you are waiting for treatment. Pads and pants are available that have been specially designed to absorb leaks from the bladder. Some are disposable, while others can be washed and re-used. There are many varieties available for sale in shops or by mail order. You can get an information sheet on pads and pants, including a list of all the different brands available from Incontact .

Tell people close to you. By being open and honest about your condition, you can get the support you need and avoid embarrassment when accidents happen. Incontinence is a very common condition and is nothing to be ashamed of.

Things to consider
While medicines can make a difference, it is important to remember that many of them will have side effects. Always read the information leaflet inside your packet of medication and discuss any unwanted effect with your doctor.
