There are an amazing number of treatments available for psoriasis. They come in just about every shape and form. Some you apply to your skin others; come as tablets or even injections. You might also be prescribed a course of light therapy.
There are three main categories of treatment for psoriasis:TopicalTopical treatments are applied directly onto your patches of psoriasis. BiologicsBiologics are also a type of systemic medication in that they work from within, but are prescribed for moderate to severe psoriasis when the other systemic medications described above, have not controlled your psoriasis adequately, or when these systemics cannot be used.Read more about Biologics (PDF)How your psoriasis is treated depends on the type and its severity.
