Rheumatoid arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis causes painful, stiff and swollen joints. It tends to affect the joints in your hands, wrists and feet, but these symptoms can occur in any joint.
If you've had rheumatoid arthritis for some time, you'll know that the changes in your joints may eventually make it hard for you to do some things, like tie your shoelaces or hold a cup. Rheumatoid arthritis can also make you feel very tired and generally unwell.
